I have a 1991 Acura and I bout the car about 3-4 months ago. Have never had a problem with it until now. I‘ve never used the alarm system and it has never gone off. About 2 weeks ago the button to lock the car doors died so now I‘ve been locking it with the keys which is totally fine by me. Tonight I went to work, worked for about 6 hours, came outside, unlocked my door and BOOM the alarm goes off. It shuts off after beeping for 5 minutes. The. I try to start the car and it owes off again! Now I have the battery completely shut off because when it‘s on it starts the alarm. I can‘t even start the car. How do I disable this? I need to get me *** home :(
Try unplugging the control module, worked for me
there is a small switch on the side kick panel left side turn on the ignition press the switch twice and turn off the ignition now you can star the car good luck
