Question:

how to erase permanent marker on plastic sheets?

my car windscreen sticker was full of permanent marker marks done by little kids. i need to lift the marks without spoiling the sticker.

Answer:

I found that nail polish remover removes permanent marker, but not sure if you want to put it on your sticker or not. Gotta love kids!
a cheap way is to use another marker (water based type, NOT permanent), colour over the permanent markings and wipe off with a clean cloth
It can be done quite easily. Try a bit of rubbing alcohol or a paint mixer called thinner. Just wet a piece of cloth in thinner and gently rub off the marker marks. You can even try surgical spirit.
I am afraid that you may end up to get new sticker. Usually permanent markers can be erased by Acetone, Clorox, or such. However all these chemicals may damage the sticker.
You can try Orange Goo, it takes off decals, glue. Also try isopropyl alcohol. You can also try nail polish remover or acetone, but test it first to make sure the sticker doesn't get damaged by it.
