Question:

How to get iron ore off of chrome rims?

I bought a used Honda XR 100 and it has iron ore on the rims i want to get it off

Answer:

You do mean brake dust right? Get wheel cleaner, hit it with that, let it soak, blast with hose.
Yeah hopefully your problem is just brake dust that stuff can get really nasty and cake up on your rims. You will want to make sure that you use the correct cleaner on them or you may actually damage them more. This article has a good way of getting them cleaned.
Iron ore is rust. If rusty, you won't get it off (steel wheels?). If it's brake dust, clean it off. You might be lucky.
