Question:

How to keep kitten off the top of the fish tank?

I currently have the last of my surviving fish after 5-6 long years with themNow, with the new addition of a 5 month old kitten, things have gotten a little more energetic- and curiousOf course, he's curious with the tank and I don't mind if he watches the fish or plays aroundBUT, the top of our tank is not supportive enough and we won't be buying a new lid as I've said before- one last surviving fishI don't want to see him jump onto the top of the tank and crack the glass.any suggestions? (as i type he's attempting to get onto it again -_-)suggestions i've heard already :) (if you tried them already, please tell me how effective it was)- tape sticky side up (got to find some more tape.)- aluminum foil- empty boxes on top- spray bottle (which won't work on him as he's adapted and started to like water)- place a scent that he doesn't like at the lid.not sure how to do that -_-those are ideas that i've found- if you've done of these strategies, did it work right away?

Answer:

I think u are confused with the concepts of displacement, velocity and accn.Velocity doesn't give rise to accn but accngives rise to the change in velocity.Whenever a particle is acclerated ,there will be increase in velocity.
I have a kitten named Andrew, he's also 5 months oldHe loves to play around the 10 gallon aquarium I keep in the bedroomHowever, he doesn't attempt to climb on it anymoreI find that putting several pieces of double sided tape on the surface you wish to keep them from is very effectiveYou can't use something cheap that will peal off easily thoughCats don't like the feeling of sticky things, as you wouldn't want to be covered in dried up sticky caramelAluminum foil would actually attract himI've never known a cat that didn't love everything about that stuff, so I wouldn't waste your time with itPlacing an empty box on top would do nothing, as cats love to play around boxes, and there is a good chance he could get hurt that wayIf your cat seems to be immune to the spray bottle, then add some lemon and lime to the waterCats hate anything citrus, and I mean hate itSpray that in his direction, but not on himThe smell will make him take offYou could buy a citrus type air freshener to place on the lid, as i have, and that keeps my kitten off of the fish tankAll those I have mentioned as effective have worked right away, yeahThe best option I think would be the air freshenerYou could pick up a large Renuzits brand air freshener for less than a dollar in most storesJust make sure it has a citrus smellGood luck to you!
