I know what your thinkingYour probably going tell me to be creative but I wanted to make it out of jello (it's going to be a project for my little sister) but I wasn't so sure what I can make the nucleus, mitochondriaEtcIf anyone had an idea it be really helpfulThank you
you can keep it more simplego to Costco and get a larger roll of plastic wrapIt's easier to work with and you get a better resultIt'll probably last you a lifetimewrap the meat once tightlythe goal is to have the plastic almost like a second skin, touching the meat, with as little air as possibleThen wrap it again, and I take similar cuts and put them in a plastic bag, with a large sign on the inside explaining the cut or type of meatVery easy to forget what's in the freezer six months from now Wax paper doesn't keep the air out properly, and foil, when touching meat can lead to freezer burn and sometimes it's hard to get offThose vacuum systems work but, are expensive, and wrapping well does a comparable job if done properly, good luck.
If you have a vacuum sealer that's the best way, for those of us who do not, here's the next best thing; Wrap meat in two layer of aluminum foilPlace in a zip top freezer bag, seal it almost all the way then insert a straw and suck out as much air as you can and then seal it upThat's it, oh and don't forget to label and date itAlso, keep your freezer as cold as possibleThis will further help prevent freezer burn because it will freeze your food faster, which results in smaller ice crystals forming inside the food, which results in less perforation of cells in the food and thus less freezer burn.
Without question the best way to freeze meat is with a vacuum sealerThis will get the air out of the package so that the meat has much less chance to freezer burnFrozen meat will last much longer in the freezer when vacuum sealed If you don't have access to a vacuum sealer place the meat is a zip lock type back and press out all the air you can get outThen freeze and use soon.
try and make molds to put jello in to harden inside and use different colored jellosLike try finding different shapped bowls and cups and spoons ask your mom if she has a ladle maybeIf you don't mind that they look a bit bumpy you can always make the shape out of aluminum foil and see if it holds it.
