it is way too hot to cook outside and smoke the brisket.i have heard of people cooking a brisket in the oven.does anyone have a good recipe for an oven brisket?thanks.

This is one of my all-time favorite recipesBusy Day Brisket 4 to 5 lbbeef brisket 1 large envelope of dry onion soup mix garlic powder pepper Worcestershire sauce red wine (burgundy works well) Place a large sheet of heavy aluminum foil in a baking panSprinkle the dry soup mix over the foilRub both sides of the brisket with garlic powder, pepper, and generous splashes of WorcestershirePlace brisket on foil, and pour red wine over both sides of brisket (1-2 cups isn't too much) Seal the foil very tightly (and make sure there are no punctures in it!)Bake brisket at 300 degrees for 6 hoursThis is great hot or coldAlways slice brisket on a slant across the grain.
