The only way that I know of that wouldn't change any of your shooting habits is to change your bulletsGet the velocity down lower with heavier bulletsAlthough this won't change it muchYou might also consider Sabot rounds if your target can get taken down with a smaller bullet.
Adjust your shooting to fit the gunWhen I'm doing serious target shooting, I'll put down my gun and leave the bolt open to cool the chamber and barrel for about 30 seconds to a minute every shot or twoI'll take that time to readjust the scope if needed, shoot a second gun (typically a .22lr), or just relax and take time to drink my PepsiUltimately taking time between shots will prolong a day of shooting before the barrel heats upTry really slowing down and taking your time between shotsIf this time is not available, then you are not selecting the proper tool for that jobGet a heavier barrel.
Have you considered a heavier, fluted barrel? Not sure why your barrel must be lightweightYes, I understand the weight of carry, but your firearm is purpose drivenThe aluminum band seems interestingWrap it with a disposable cotton bandage and keep it wet to keep wicking the heat off it might be your best betWe used to keep our canteens cool by soaking the canteen covers and relying on evaporative coolingNo reason other than carrying a LOT of water, that this wouldn't work for you in the fieldStill, I see a heavier barrel in your futureThat's really the only solution I can offer.
I'll tell you the most simple and effective wayMake a gravity bongYou can look up some pics of it on googleAll you need is a plastic bottle, a cup of water, and a bowl to stick into the lid of the bottleYou can fashion a bowl out of some aluminum foil if you're unable to get one, but it'll be more of a pain to get it air tightCut off the very bottom of the bottle (not too much because you want to leave it as large of a bottle as possible)Stab a small hole into the lid of the bottle and force your bowl into it by pushing it down into it, careful to not make the hole too big or it won't be airtightSink your bottle into the cup of water with just the top of the bottle sticking outAttach your lid/bowlWhen you light it, pull up on the bottle and the vacuum it creates will fill the bottle full of smokeTake the lid off and hit it, either pulling it up as you hit it or pushing it down to force the smoke upGravity bong will get you way higher than any other method.
