There are many lighters at roadside that have been (improperly?) disposed of and crushed. Notice that the parts include a tiny but long plastic tube that restricts the flow of butane. There is likely no (safe!) way to increase flame size. I would not tinker with a perfectly good lighter (you might make an ash of yourself
it's probaly low on butane, if it's a cheap disposible, then get rid of it (there's no way to make the hole bigger or anything)if it's metal, than refill it to a higher pressure
squeeze a orange peel at it it will flicker a bit.
Pour gasoline over lighter and the hand holding it. Have 911 on the line before striking the flint, you'll be needing an ambulance and a fire truck. A better idea is to buy a new lighter.
