You could even put it together the day before, keep it in the fridge, and cook it the next dayThat will be less work and stress for you on the day she is comingAlso allow some some time to let the lasagna sit after it comes out of the oven, before you cut itMaybe 15 minutes, It will be firmer and cut better! Here's a easy desert you could makeMy family has always loved it! HOT MILK CAKE 2 EGGS (BEATEN) 1 CUP SUGAR 1 CUP FLOUR 1 TEASPOON VANILLA 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER ? CUP MILK AND 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER (BOIL) ADD TO ABOVE BAKE 375, 20 OR 30 MINUTES -Mix 3 tablespoon melted butter 5 tablespoon brown sugar 2 tablespoon milk Add ? cup chopped nuts Spread on cake Place under broiler until frosting is melted and light brown Good Luck!
My first dinner for my in laws was just a plain old meat loaf, au gratin potaotes and green beans or corn , nothing fancy just plain down to earthWe all injoyed it and had no worries about the steak being done to well or undercooked or if there would be enough etcHave fun and enjoy the moment ,there will be many more to make up if you don;t fill expectations for allThe best thing is to relax and enjoy it will make things go much smoother for all especially you!
