I have to make some sort of launching machine that can fling a small rubber stopper with these materials:5 Paper Clips2 Pipe Cleaners30 cm of aluminum foil1 meter of string2 straws2 coffee stirrers (the tiny straws)There will also be a hammer available as dead weight, you can't give it any potential energy at allThe most you can do with the object is pull something back and let goYou can't thrown anything (obviously), nor will you be able to hold anything down yourself (that's what the hammer is there for).I'm very curious to see your ideas! :D
I would form the paper clips and the pipe cleaners into extension springs and then rig some kid of way to attach the stopper to the springs so you can pull them back and let go.
