Question:

how to measure the megger value in earth pits?

i have some doubts about measuring the values of earth resistance.after installed the earth pits for lightning for high rise buildings ,how to measure the megger value ,i mean to ask ,which point to point .one of my friend told me ,the point should be the test clamp on the roof and earth rod.if i take the measurements like this ,then what is the use of laid 25 earth rods inside the hole.what is the application of bentonite powder.what i am thinking is,if we use the megger terminal between two points(test clamp near to bare copper bar on roof and earth rod, which is in visible outside) the value of meaurement is the action of distance between these two points.then what is the use of making long hole ,this much earth rod, some chemical powder),since we are not going to take the measurement of megger between last point of earth rod(which is in deeper) and test clamp in outside.please clarify my doubts.i am a mechanicall engineer

Answer:

I'm not a mechanical engineer, but I know you only need one L in mechanical, lol. Seriously, I have no idea. If this is for an exam why don't you clarify it with your professor/instructor? This is pretty complicated for most lay people on Y!A. Good luck.
For my children I don't care what the world thinks, as for me they are priceless. Because they are a mixture of me and the person that I love (their mother). So I value what they are now and what they have the potential to become later in life. So if all they become is people who goes to work and take responsibility for any mistakes they make in life I will be happy. If they become rich and famous (without breaking the law) I of course would be more happy.
