Question:

How to Paper Mache SEA TURTLE MODEL?

I know how to paper machebut this turtle is going to be about 2-3 feet long and I am not sure of the mold we should put underneath for the paper mache to sit onplease send all ideaspreferalby cheapest pricest ones! Aluminum and chicken wire are out!

Answer:

First, what you want is a form to put the papier mache on, not a mold to put the papier mache in (a mold is concave)Regardless, you can make a form to put papier mache on by using things like wads of newspaper scrunched up and all taped together in the shape of an oval hemisphere (half-ball), or you could put the newspaper wads around a box or bowl to get the shape startedThen you'd want to cover the form with something the papier mache can't stick to, like a large plastic bag (cut open to make it larger), aluminum foil, plastic wrap, a shower curtain you don't want, etcThen start doing the papier macheing on top of the plastic/etcYou can use thicker and/or larger porous materials to do the papier macheing too, not just strips of newspaperOne of my favorites is using those blue shop towels on a roll that can be found in automotive shops or auto depts, or sometimes right next to the regular paper towels in the grocery store (they're thick, porous and quite drapable.so the work goes faster, fewer layers needed)You could also use regular paper towelsOnce the papier mache is dry, lift it off of the form, and pull away the plastic bag if necessary.
To add to my previous answer to your first question about helping your damaged hairAfter deep conditioning my co-worker's hair, I would blow dry her hair and used the CHI flat-ironI would use KMS Flat-Out straightening creme or Kiehl's Heat-Protective Silk-Straightening Cream when blow dryingWhen flat-ironing, I used Sebastian Iron Works Hot Tool SprayIf you're not able to find it, you can also use Paul Mitchell Heat SealCHI makes their own products, but I don't care for them.
The crunchiness is probably from the thermal spray, u may be using to much of it, or u may also have to much build up in your hairif you don't have clairifing shampoo next time u shampoo but a little baking soda in with your shampoo to strip any build up out, also it could just be from your hair being really damaged but thats hard to say with out seeing your hairYour hair should never steam when using any type of iron, also NEVER put any type of iron on your hair wet i don't care what the package says! Yes ceramic is better to use on your hair but if u use heat to go from wet to dry, all you are doing is burning your hair dry, that includes when u blow dry, alas it's not as damaging and a little bit hard to get away from that one.
well if you are trying to flat iron while your hairis still wetthats a big problemyou needa let you r hair completely air dry out before trying to flat ironif it's getting crunchywell theres a few reasons for that - the iron is to hot, you're burning your hair - your ends are fcked, get them cut - your hair is dry brittle if tou frequently use heat in your hair you should deep condition every time you wash your hair, a goot deep conditioner is a little more pricier than regular conditioner calls for you to leave it in for about 5-7 minutesbut it's well worth it it repairs all the dammage heat does to your hairim not to sure about the products your putting in your hairbut like i said usung a lot of heat damages your hair, so in turn you should use a protector( a cream such a perm repair, before you flat iron), even if the iron is ceramic.
It shouldn't be doing thata couple options here: You need a good quality hair straightnerIonicH.A.Iis good, and also don't flat iron wet hairThat's REALLY bad for itBlow dry first with an ionic blow dryerIt's worth the moneyYou'll see a HUGE differencePut on a Heat Protection lotion for your hair, then flat iron itIf your ends still aren't working out, deep condition and try putting pomade on the endsThat tames themOf course you can cut off the tips, tooIt's probably too late to save themP.SDon't use SuaveWhen it comes to hair products, you really do get what you pay for.
