small, aluminum fishing boat, has sprung a leak, what's the best material to use for repair?
OK Shannon here's the dealIf It is a riveted boat you can take a sledge hammer and lay it on one side of the rivet and take a second hammer and smack the opposite side for a quick fix and squish, no more leaky rivetIf it is a hole you can use aluminium JB weld, if used properly, and that will give you a temporary fix in till you can take it in and get a plate migged onIf you do, make sure they round off the edgesWe've had the JB cold weld last all season, if your short on cashFiberglas does not work, it never didHope this helps.
What temp do you have the oven set on? If you have it set right, it may be your oven is higher than what you set it onMy oven has this problem and I have made these adjustment and been able to bake with successTry setting it about 25 degrees less and see if it does betterCheck it 5-10 minutes ahead of time to make sure it's not burningYou can adjust the temp a little lower or take your cake out early after checking with the toothpick to see if it's doneYou could also buy an oven thermometer to keep in it to keep track of the temp Hope this helps.
it could be your oven but you could try baking the bottom layer of the pastry blind before you put the apple in on top with pastry or it could be that your oven is too hot and cooking the sides and not allowing time for the middle to cookis it the bottom of the pastry base if so it could actually be the fruit having too much juices /moisture so try sprinkling some ground rice on the base of the pastry before you top with the apple it soaks up the any excess moisture but doent alter the tasteif its your oven you will probably need an engineer.
First, get an oven thermometer and make sure you dial and internal oven temperature matchIf not, then you can adjust your dial on your oven accordinglyThat's all I can think ofGood luck.
as other's are saying, it sounds like your oven is running a little hotGet a oven thermometer to put inside (though you can get real fancy and expensive ones, the cheapo dial type for under 10 bucks are good enough) so you can get the oven to the correct temp.
