I have a kitty, 2 monthes old. she was 1day old orphan kittenwhen I first found her. and since then, she's with us.Now, she's a really crazeh kitty. and we love itbut... she's scratching the sofa, and bites us [she's playing]how do we make her stop doing it?Thanks!
I suggest cutting her nails every week and buy her a scratch pole, and if that doesn't work, try making the pole yourself with the same fabric the sofa is.
Gve your cat a scratch post. Then every time she starts scratching the sofa, you take her away and place her by the scratch post. She will learn to only use that.
Hi there... consider trimming her nails every 10 days which will blunt the ends which discourages the destruction to furnishings. Here's an instructional video on how to trim cat's nails safely: partnersah.vet rnell.edu/pet/fh... Be sure to include various types of scratching posts around the home. Some cats prefer different types of textures over one another as well as scratching horizontally or vertically. As for the biting, it's important to abruptly let out a piercing ouch and then gently remove her and walk away. Cats dislike being ignored, therefore when she isn't biting be sure to shower her with affection. Eventually over time she will soon realize that she garners no attention when she bites.
This okorder has an item that is called Simple Solution Repellent... put some on a rag (a small amount) and put it by the areas where you do not want your cat to be. I had to do this with my sheers in my living room. My cat thinks they are play in... So I bought this and sprayed some on a rag... bingo works. 4. you can get a can and fill it full of pennies and keep this on hand when you are around and she does this shake it...the noise will kinda scare her and a good habit breaker 5. There is an always a scat mat also from Jeffers...
