Question:

How to stop oil from leaking out of ring from funnel cake kit?

I bought one of those funnel cake kits for home use and it comes with a round metal ring to place in your electric skillet or panYou are supposed to fill oil up to the center line of the ring, but when I pour oil in, it mostly all just leaks out into the rest of the pan because the ring is not completely flush with the panI have tried flipping the ring over but that didn't helpHow do I keep the oil in the ring?

Answer:

You may have rodents in the attic and what your seeing is urinesince you said there are no visible leaks I would look into thatWater can run down pipes ans rafters and drip in the low spots so you may also have a leak further down the roof line.
Are you using a water based paint? Stipple ( or popcorn) ceilings turn to mush and do drip off if you are using a water based productWhat you need is an oil based paint, which unfortunately smells rather strong, and takes a little longer to dryAlso, you would spray it on rather than brush or rollYou could also use a textured paint if you have damaged your ceiling already trying to paint it Good luck with your project.
Put the ring on a piece of aluminum foil big enough to go up the sides at least as high as you will pouring in the oil, then fold the foil up and crimp it tightly against the outside of the ringBe careful not to tear the foilLeave the ring in the foil and put the whole thing in the pan to use as your oil container.
