Answer:

Your kitty is probably going to end up sleeping with you! They like to stay warm and snuggle particularly during the cold monthsMine is constantly in my lap (like right now) or my shoulder, and sleeps between my legs at nightI would not spend money on a cat bed, I think they are unlikely to use it.
Dear I Love, You can get one as you may be sleeping in it since most cats tend to take over their servants bedsI have had a cat share my bed for most of my 61+ yearsI did buy one cat a bed and it sat in the corner of our bedroom for years, in fact she did use the bed a couple of times when we moved to a new place, her way of telling us she was a bit peevedShe did however pass away in the cat bedSince cats will try to go away from their home to pass away (as they do in the wild) it was her way of leaving since she did not want to pass on HER bedI hope this is of help and your couches may become her day bed and your bed at nightI hope this is of help and Happy New Year.
If you wantSome will use itBut more then likely a nice soft blanket on the couch will probably the the most fav spot (other then your bed)We have 2-3 beds around in the house (in a corner or under a table) and neither cat uses them - I gave up on beds long ago - not wasting my money if they won't use them.
The cheapest and easiest bed is to just take a bath towel, fold it in half or quarters and lay it on the couch at one endAll cats like laying on that Beds aren't usually slept in unless the cat is far older and wants a soft, warm areaWe finally got 4 beds for ours, the one in the window seat is used exclusively by the 6 year old guy, the one in the living room is for my geriatric cat who likes the heat reflected from the fake fleece on his hips and rear legsThe one under the bed was fought over by the two girls, so I put another in the basement by the couch for the Siamese who spends 80% of her time down there anywayShe's my sigother's cat, hangs with him in the computer room all the time But honestly, if I'd have gotten beds years ago, not one would have been used.
Wrap it air-tightYou can wrap it in any air-tight material that's not porous (plastic wrap, plastic bags, aluminum foil, etc) then push out as much of the air touching the clay as possibleBut if you want to be extra-sure, then put the wrapped clay inside an air-tight container like a Rubbermaid plastic tub, etc, or even a large metal tin(Btw, I assume you mean air-dry clay rather than modeling clay since that's usually only the plasticine-type clays that will never hardenAny clay can be modeled -shaped.) .
