Do you mind doing a little destructive testing? File an end to create some small particles. Dissolve those in nitric acid. This reaction should be done outside or preferably in a hood. Both silver and copper will react with HNO3. If there is copper present, the solution will be blue due to hydrated copper (II) ions. To a sample of the solution, add a source of chloride ions (HCl, NaCl). If silver ions are present the solution will get cloudy as AgCl precipitates.
