I bought a 4 pack of AA batteries at the grocery store the other day and thought I forgot them in the cart because I couldn't find them. Well today I found them in my freezer. Must have accidently thrown them in while putting away the groceries. Can I still use them?
It will do no harm to try to use them. Bring them up to room temperature slowly - just put them in the kitchen for a couple of days. Dry them off frequently when condensation forms on them. Then simply try them.
No, batteries lose their power when they get cold. Think back to all the cars needing jumped in the winter time. That is not a good thing for batteries to get cold.
