I am jinxed every vacumn cleaner i owns always blows up grrrr why?

Ok i bought a decent hoover just before christmas and it has blown up the thing is last year i had 3 new vacumn hoovers whats wrong with me? What do i do wrong? I have to hoover 3 times a day due to have 3small children under 6 but its never bashed around i really am fed up. Anybody have any suggestions?

Answer:

The less expensive vacuum cleaners don't last. Unfortunately that's all I can afford. I'm constantly cleaning the vacuum rollers underneath. Hair, strings, etc.. get caught there. I use scissors a lot of pulling to clean it. I empty the bag often rinse the filter. I'm always buying new belts. I had a Sharp vacuum in the past that was a little more money, but worked real well. My in-laws have a Dyson (not sure on spelling.) They LOVE their vacuum! My mother in law said she finally has a vacuum that picks up everything, even cat hair! She has several cats, she goes on on about how great the vacuum is. It's not as expensive as a Rainbow. My suggestion would be save up for a Sharp or a Dyson. Personally I'm hoping to get a Dyson! Hope this helps!
It's not you personally it is the brands you are purchasing, especially Hoover this brand is very cheaply made, try purchasing a different brand try maybe Panasonic upright, I have had this brand of vacuum for about ten years now and have had wonderful service out of it and it has been the most powerful easy light vacuum I have ever owned and longest lasting by far, and the best feature of all is it's maneuverability My mother has had Hoovers and she has had the worst luck with them too so you see it is not you and you are not jinxed Good Luck !
Contact the Hoover Co. on line and see if there is a recall on the vac. Ask Customer service to replace it,give it a try anyway. There is no reason a company can not back-up their product within a reasonable time. Check your warranty .You might be better off getting a quality used vac, they cost about $1,200 new with all attachments.Find them in a moving sale. My friend has a Dyson but it doesn't beat Rainbow and Filter Queen.Rainbow and Filter Queen are the top of the line and worth the money. The Filter Queen is 25 years old and still going and quiet. The Rainbow uses water as a filter but it must be emptied after a days use. I like it because you need no bags and the water keeps dust from coming back into the air. Theses vacs are heavy duty canister types so you may not like that. I have found American made products are superior to imports..
the only thing that would cause them to blow-that easily would be completely blocked vents, that prevent the machine from running too hot and frying itself...so I suggest cleaning your filters and emptying the bag more. Also another thing that commonly breaks vaccuums is running over the cord with the machine
I understand where your coming from.I'm the same way.My husband would tell me I don't know how to vacum. Not true. I noticed when my vacumes break its either because i picked up coins or a paper that was too big too handle. I know that some vacums show that you can pick up all this stuff without damaging it not true.I guess my suggestion is to pick up coins and papers or anything that looks like your vacum wont be able to handle. What i have right now is a rainbow which has lasted me a while. They re a little costly but if your like me always having to buy a vacum because they break I would recommend it.I'm also a mother of three best of wishes.
