Question:

I have a 5.1 channel home theater. When I buy Blu ray players, does the player need to support 5.1 output?

RT, my family has a 5.1 channel and a home theater amplifier, TV supports 5.1 channel output, but now I want to enter a blu ray player, but a look at the parameters, also supports 5.1 channel and 2 channel, do you have the 5.1 channel and home theater amplifier, Blu ray player also need to support the 5.1 output? Thank you very much.

Answer:

If there is a corresponding 5.1 independent output, then the best, and if not, using DTS connection is also possible.
If power amplifier has AC-3 and DTS decoder function, blue light player does not need to have 5.1 sound channel; conversely, blue light player needs to have 5.1 sound channel.
Blu ray players don't need to support 5.1 output, so long as you support DTS and Dolby 5.1 decoding.
