The $450 a ton is for number one prepared steel. That is steel that is cut up to about the size of car wheels. You will not recieve number one prices for a solid bulldozer bucket. You will recieve about $150 or so per ton of steel. If your bulldozer bucket is in good enough shape to still be servicable, you could sell it as the bulldozer bucket it is, and recieve $500-$1000 for it, depending on what size it it. ~Garnet Permaculture homesteading/farming over 20 years Who's husband is on their bulldozer clearing winter animal corrals right now. P.S. I hope you already got rid of that bulldozer bucket. The price of steel dropped like a stone yesterady (5/223/08). It went from $150 a ton, to $70.
