Question:

How to Remember the properties of Metals and Non-Metals?

i have a test on the properties of metals and non-metals. how can i remember them easily?

Answer:

Metals are usually gray[except copper and gold], solid except mercury metals are shiny, except when covered by there oxidation product metals are malleable, ductile, conduct heat and electricity metals react with acid to give H2 gas and a salt, very active metals react with water Nonmetals are not shiny, may be solid, liquid, gas generally have a color, are brittle not malleable do not conduct
A good test by Albert Enstein to test for metal or non metal substance is to put the material under your armpit for 5 mins, if you removed it and it does not smell good, it means it's a metallic material
