Question:

I have Boneless chicken breast and potatoes- what can I cook?

I'm not a cook- but I really want to learnI want my son to grow up and brag about mommas cookingI was thinking I could dice up the potatoes, put them in a pan and put the chicken on topWhat heat do I cook it? Do I put butter in the pan? Sorry if this sounds dumb, I'm just really new to thisI'm tired of cooking stuff on boxes and cans!

Answer:

Put some oil in a skillet and brown the chicken on both sidesCut up the potatoes in bite size piecesPut the chicken on a sheet of aluminum foil that has been oiled and is big enough to wrap around it and lap overPut the potatoes on the chicken along with some chopped onion and spicesFold up the foil to seal it wellPut on a baking pan and bake in the oven at 350 fdegrees for about 45 minutesIf you don't have aluminum foil you can bake it in a covered baking dishIf you want it saucy you can add a can of cream soup like mushroom or celery.
