Yes you can.but don't get the idea that it is as resistant as cookware.
it may not break but the lighter will probably leave a black mark.I recently used a terra cotta cookie mold for the first time in a 325' oven for 22 minutes and it did not split (and the cookie came out great.I sprayed it with a non-stick spray first).
