Question:

what are some brands of parchment paper?

i know what it's used for but i tried looking online for different brands of BAKING parchment paper and i couldn't find anyi found parchment paper but for writing; is it the same as baking parchment paper? help!?

Answer:

No parchment for writing is just a heavy bond paper with at times added wood fiber, I have bought for when I do calligraphy a type with a bit of linen fiber added, baking parchment is a paper based material with a silicone covering and a bit added to the mixture when making the paper, writing parchment will burn in the oven, if you want it for baking it is available in most US and Canadian grocery stores in the aisle with the plastic/saran wrap and aluminum foil, I buy sheets at a discount dollar store.
