I like Maseca corn flour, but I read that it contains selected corn treated with lime. Is eating lime bad?
Are they talking about lime stone? Is lime the same as lye? I know we're not talking lime juice.
Answer:
Similar, but not exactly the same. The lime comes from the silica in the marl layer of limestone quarries.
