Question:

I lost the remote to my car alarm system how do i replace it?

Is it possible to buy a new car alarm remote for my car‘s alarm system and some how configure it to match the frequencies of my original car alarm or whatever. Or do I have to purchase a new car alarm system entirely?

Answer:

Go to where-ever installed the car alarm (mine wasn't done by the dealer, it was an auto place). They'll give you a new remote to go w/ the car alarm. It'll cost about $80 (that's what they charged me).
How old is the vehicle? If it is relatively new you can contact the dealer, if it is a bit older you contact the manufacturervia Google. Usually you can just get new controllers re-configured.you shouldn't have to replace the entire systemTry to keep better track of your stuff next timeyou can't go thru life loosin stuff.jeez
Go to any car alarm dealer.they can replace the alarm keyfob with a new one and recode your car so the old one can't be used.
ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DONT MIX D.O.T#3 AND D.O.T# 4 TOGETHER AS THEY ARE DIFFERENT IN COMPOSITS
