Question:

I'm trying to buy a grill/smoker for my husband for his birthday and I'm completely lost! Help please?

I want to spend about 100$ and I don't know the first thong about themI looked and saw gas electric and charcoal but I know we prefer charcoal, is that good for a smoker?

Answer:

Go with charcoal if you canWe have a Chargriller that has a rounded top with a smoke stack and a temperature gauge on the frontIt doesn't have the smoke box attached alothough that is something that can be addedWe just put our wood chips in an aluminum foil pan (after we soak the chips in water/wine or water/beer first) set the pan of soaked chips in next to the charcoal, light up the charcoalThe smoke stack is on the left so we put the chips as far from it as possible to draw the smoke across the meatWe have had many compliments on our BBQ pork and Smoked TurkeyIt is a called a Chargriller super pro and currently at Lowes it costs $139.00We have had ours for about 6 years now and it is going greatSuggest you get a grill brush and we use the disposable grill wipes to season and keep the iron grates inside clean and unrusty.
Sounds like you cant have everything you wantThis is when you make a priority list and stick to itThe house is the most important thing, right? Especially since you say you want to start a familyAnd for the most part, its non-negotiableSo I would take care of the house cost firstThen, see if you have anything left for the wedding and honeymoonThere are always ways to cut costs thereYou can have a wedding with cake champagne in the middle of the afternoonIf you have a house at that point, you could host the reception at your homeIf I was in this situation, I would let the honeymoon be the last thing on the listYou say you want to start having kids, but you can still make an effort to save a little each month and go to your dream honeymoon for a 5 yr anniversary5 yrs is not that far offOr, you could scale down your honeymoon and go somewhere closer to where you live.
