i need a aluminum hole welded on my car and this guy said it cant be done?

i droped a cresent wrench and it hit the red battery terminal andthe air conditioning (aluminum) tube a welde a hole in it all the gas came out yadayada yadacan i get this welded a little patch, with out taking it off the car cause its too dificult with out frying the electronics ?

Yes you can weld aluminun, no you can't weld an a/c lineTape will not work eitherReplace the line and that is all you can doIf you attempt to weld the line while still conected you will severely contaminate the a/c systemYou will char the oil that is contained in the system around the area you are welding which will inturn spread through the entire systemYou will then have to have it flushed with dura 141 or something equivelant and the accumulator/drier will need to be replaced along with the expansion valve because it will be pluggedIn order to flush the system it must be completely disassembled and each component flushed separetelyIt might sound like bull to you but if you cut corners you will spend money guaranteedThere might be a sliver of a chance to remove it and have it welded but being that the aluminum is already impregnated with oil it might not be possibleReplace it and have it over with.
