Please do not answer and advise me to use Advantage or advantick or any such drops on her neck. I have a German Shepherd, 8 years, and she has constant worms. The deworming medicine (oral) my Vet gives doesn‘t work. (Strongid-t). because of reinfestation with fleas. We try to keep the fleas under control (it is quite a battle), and she does not get a lot of exposure to other animal feces, but somehow she is reinfecting herself. Maybe weakened immunity. What do you think of diatomaceus earth, or claendula flowers or wild chrysanthemum flowers added to her food? TrI feed her a diet of various raw and poached meats and grated carrots and sometimes beets and and and flax seeds (pulverized) and Dolomite, and vit B‘s and fish oils and MSM.But still worms. I tried garlic-no luck.Battling the fleas is very time consuming. I recently discovered that liquid Ivory soap baths kills them dead, but I have to shampoo her every week, because she picks them up when I walk her in Miami
the violation is every where so think about doing any thing stupied
Try a meal of hot mustard (mixed with dry mustard powder and water) and raw or cooked liver put in a blender .
I preface this message with Please check with some of the holistic vets, first, as well as do your own research. An effective herbal remedy to eliminate parasites in HUMANS (not sure about our canine friends) is liquid extracts of clove, black walnut and wormwood. Take 10 drops of each 2xs/day for one month, allowing existing parasites to be killed, as well as their eggs. Good luck!
I think it's sand fleas down in Miami and those are hardest to get rid of. Ok, well to keep your girl's skin from drying out, use baby soap or shampoo. It's great for her skin and coat, and it's non-toxic to them. It has the added bonus of working just like an Ivory bath, just without taking the natural protective oils from her skin and fur. That should help with the fleas, too. As for worms, try a pinch (very small, mind you!) of tobacco flakes on her food. Should clear them right up. However, before doing so, PLEASE consult with a vet about homeopathic remedies for your pet.
