I learned to thread my Janome L-344, everything was going great. My problem is after 5 stitches or so the machine un-threads itself all of a sudden. A friends told me I was probably using cheap thread, so I switched from cotton covered polyester to the most expensive polyester thread I could find. Same problem. What could be the problem?BTW, does anyone have any beginners sewing tutorials? All I‘m looking to make is cloth diapers for my son.
i hate to day it, but it does sound like you have threaded your machine wrong. if you go around the uptake lever in the wrong direction it will unthread itself. if you bought it from a dealer, go in and ask for an owners class (usually free as a service)or check on youtube for sewing machine threading tutorials.
I have a friend with a Janome, and she has problems with thread. It will only work well with one particular brand (I can't remember what it is) - other brands jam and snap. I'd suggest contacting the place you bought the machine (or some Janome dealer) and asking them for guidance.
Here is a useful link to refer to. Try to remember to hold both threads to the back of the presser foot until you have taken a few stitches. I usually do a few in reverse first to prevent this from happening.
Dude, weed is the way to go!!! You'll get a good grade AND have fun later on!
