I'm making a bunch of cakes for my sisters birthday party on SundayI'm going to wait to decorate the cakes until tomorrow so I just planned to freeze the cakesThen I found out we are out of saran wrapIs there anything else I can use to cover the cakes, like aluminum foil or plastic shopping bags?
Aluminum foil will work fineBut I'd suggest that you spray it lightly with Pam or similar non-stick cooking spray or the tops of the cake will like stick and come apart when you open themAlso, if you just made the cakes and you plan to decorate them tomorrow, I am not sure why you are freezing themThey should stay fresh as long you wrap them well I personally wouldn't use the plastic shopping bags, as you can't be certain how clean they are But sounds like you are set w/the foilBTW my BD is Sunday too.can I have a slice too please :) (plus how can your sis be having a BD Sunday when it's MY BD?!! LOLOL.hope we both get our wishes hehe).
