I am making a doll house and I put little wood tiles that are painted white with acrylic paint and i wanted to make them look glossy like real tileI was wondering if I should paint them with polyacrylic then after it drys if I should paint resin on them to make it smooth and glossy to give it that smooth appearance. or if i should just paint resin on top of the white acrylic?
The entire mold needs to be transparent because I use a uv curing resin. With the silicone mold the exposed side cures faster than the side in the silicone. If the mold was completely transparent then all sides would cure equally. I am using uv activated resin because there is hardly any waste and it cures in under 10 min completely with a 5mm deep cast but when I go up to my 20mm deep parts the light cannot reach the deepest parts of that cast. A light on top and bottom would cut the 10min cast time in half for the small parts and also allow me to make my larger parts.
and just to add to the above, it also depends on distance. The farther away the masses are, the lower the gravitational force between them. If you double the distance, the force is 1/4 what it was. If you treble the distance, it'd be 1/9th. Or, the force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance.
