First, I think that you may not understand how effective a lightning rod is. The physics of it is a bit complex, but by having a grounded, pointed metal rod above the highest level of the house, it will provide excellent protection against a strike to the house. The rod provides such a focussed earth-potential that it would be virtually impossible for lightning to strike near it. It would always strike the lightning rod. This is really the very best you can do. High trees nearby would also be protection, as would high mountains. But they would have to be very near, and still would not offer the protection of lightning rods. There is not much, I think, that you could do to make your house less of a target for lightening. But I suppose that a well painted (so the wood would not absorb too much water) wooden house might offer a slight advantage over a brick or stone house that held a little more moisture. Ironically, the electrical service, including the ground wires, do have some effect in drawing lightning. So if you wanted to get rid of your electricity service, that might help. A bit extreme though. One correctly installed and well paced lightning rod is really enough!
I have Windows XP, not sure as to what it is, but I assume that it allows you to deny or allor certain user on the computer at a certain time, certain libraries do this, so that the people don't have to tell the people to get off, the computer just kicks them off, well i hope I gave you somewhat of an idea, wish I could be more helpful, good luck though!
