I‘m trying to write a paper about the Ganges River. The paper is supposed to cover three things: The river‘s religious significance, it‘s role in India‘s industries and it economic importance, and the threats to the Ganges (pollution). Most of the information I‘m finding only talks about all of the awful chemicals being dumped in the river and all of the litter in it. I already have enough information about pollution, but I need more about the actual significance of the river in India‘s economy! Are there any reliable articles I can read about the Ganges that deal with economy? Thanks.
