all of the wire harnesses ive bout do not line up with all of the oem radio harness wires

Hello That is where you have to cut and reconnect them in the right position. Andy C
The 08 Malibu uses a LAN system. The headunit communicates with many other things in the car. You cannot just remove the factory radio and use a regular wire harness. You need a special interface to trick the car into thinking the factory radio is still installed. Metra makes them. It's probably part# LC-GMRC-LAN-03, but check with your local car audio shop. Fair warning, they're not cheap. Probably ~$125 retail. Additionally, do you have steering wheel controls that control the radio? If so, these will be lost when installing anything aftermarket unless you purchase another interface. The Metra ASWC-1 (another $100 retail). This will plug into the GMRC interface listed above and will likely program itself (see instructions). Most of the late model GM vehicles are like this. Sucks. I know.
