I just got a zippo lighter last night, and i overfilled it with lighter fluid. now every time i light it, it reeks of lighter fluid. what do i do?
Get a butane lighter, or better yet quit smoking.
the little bugger is dangerous, it will ignite big time if you over fill. Go with butane, it is easy to fill neater, and not as dangerous. Let it dry out some, or light it, if you dare, and be careful, and some of the excess burn off. I wouldn't light that around friends, again ! Real advice is STOP SMOKING
Take the lighter body out using a paper towel to hold it. Use another paper towel folded up into a square to wrap around the case to absorb any overflow if you filled it REALLY full. After removing the lighter body put the fill end onto the paper towel let it absorb some of the fluid. When you think it's absorbed enough put it back together go throw away the paper towels WASH your hands before lighting the lighter.
