Question:

I really want to get into Recycling?!?

I'm really interested in Recycling anything I can in my home. The onnly think I have came up with so far is, All the paper we use in our home will be put in a seperate trash bag and be taken to the new Paper Dumpsters up by our newer walmart. We bought a PUR Water filter you put on your sink faucet to save on water bottles, since we ALWAYS bought them and this was good cause it means less Water bottles going into the Environment. We save cans in our home also, My dad has been taking cans in as far back as I can remember. So, those dont go in the trash. What else can I do? )What all do you do to recycle??

Answer:

Yarn is a woven textile of varying ply based on its fiber contentIt tends to be rather stretchyIf you have a tape measure of any kind, measure out 20 feet on a flat surfaceLay the yarn loosely from one end of the measurement to the otherDo not pull it tightLet the fiber relax and fall as it will.
Yarn is a length of string or cordYou would measure it with a tape measure or a ruler.
Yarn synonyms: worsted, natural fiber, wool fiber How to measure: What I do to measure is to clasp the end of the yard between my thumb and index finger and holding my arm at a 90 degree angle, run it down around my elbow and catch it again in my thumb and index fingerMeasure that length of yarn (on me, it's exactly 36 inches) and then calculate how many loops around you need for 20 feetIf you use a ruler, you only need to wrap it around a foot long ruler 10 times as each wrap around will be 2 feet.
Yarn is like stringTo measure it, get a ruler and flip the ruler 20 times down the yarn.
We recycle cans, bottles, mail, aluminum foil, and food boxesI also use yogurt cups and milk cartons to plant seeds in them that need to be started insideOld cleaning product bottles can be reused as wellYou can make glass cleaner using 3 parts water and 1 part vinegarYou can also make your own all purpose cleaner with water, vinegar, borax, and some lemon (check online to make sure I didn't forget anything!)I just finish a bottle of cleaner and then make my own! I also use food and napkins to make a compost pile to fertilize my veggies and flower gardensWe just throw that stuff into a pale (or jar) with a lid and empty it every week We have also switched from paper napkins to cloth, which you can buy cheap at Wal-Mart or Target, and they aren't hard to clean! Great job on the water bottle reduction!!!
