Question:

I want to pull up my carpet. I can not afford to pay for tile. We have cement floors. Any ideas?

The carpet has been here since we moved and it needed to be replaced then. We just have not had the money to do it. We have had it cleaned but it is expensive for a temp. fix. Its worn and its a light color, which does not help with five kids. I saw a show a while back and they pulled up the carpet and painted the cement floors and then used area rugs in different sizes and shapes. I thought of doing this as an alternative. After pulling up the carpet not sure of what to do?

Answer:

You probably ran over a garbage can lid and it is sliding back and forth through the undercarriage.
If it really is a hard-wired detector, the battery is there for backup. Most hard wired detectors I've seen don't have batteries. Batteries self-discharge. Some, such as NiCad rechargeables, do this at a fairly fast rate. Alkaline and lithium cells self-discharge very slowly, hence why they have shelf lives of years. Is sounds normal to me.
This is a common problem. I don't think there is anything sinister going on. Just a toddler being a toddler. There is a lot going on in his world and this is upsetting for toddlers. What's going on? She's learning all sorts of new rules and procedures. She's being introduced to potty training. She may be out-growing naps. She is clearly getting older and more independent but at the same time is still just a little girl (who sometimes would like to regress to needing his binky). What to do: First, use a rubber sheet or something on her bed so that if this behavior continues clean up is less difficult. Next, use plenty of praise and attention when she has her nap and doesn't urinate in the bed. Finally, continue to be casual about potty training. Although it's tempting to put pressure on her to complete toilet training, it may actually result in more rebellion and a battle of wills. Some toddlers do resist potty training because they feel they are being forced into a new, unwanted behavior. Read the article below to see if you can find some more hints on how to better handle potty training and your situation in general. Hope this helps :-)
lucky 2 bun in oven has a great answer or try one piece footie pj outfit I believe you can still find toddler size at Disney and a children's place or have your kid sleep in overalls also make her help you clean up, don't get angry, she's just wanting attention maybe
