Um, I guess your summary is a little straight forward but true, and it really does capture the book in today's termsI read this book a few months ago, and I remember when Holden said he remembered a game that the kids used to play, called Catcher in the RyeAnd I think that Holden did not want to act like everyone else in the real business worldSo he just wanted to be the Catcher in the Rye because it is such a normal and individual thing to do, like he is still as individual as a child.
Foil doesn't stretch (much) and will crumple when you iron it leaving lines and creases that won't come out.
