I watched him play a couple days ago in Traverse City,mi. in the independant frontier league, and he was batting .309 with power and has speed. He batted over .400 his last year of NCAA college baseball . How can a player like this not even be in the minors somewhere in a MLB farm system?
He got signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks on September 19th.
It is the Lake Erie Crushers and they play independently of MLB. He was drafted in the 38th round by the Reds in 2008, but declined to sign in order to return to school. His stats for the Crushers look pretty good but I am not familiar with how good the league plays. Low Double A maybe. Who knows? He may still get an offer from an MLB club. He just did turn 24 on Sept. 2nd.
