Telemarketing sucks. You either go door to door, or you sit on a phone all day and you have no freedom. For your youtube channel, is it YOU who's saying that the videos look awesome, or is it the viewers? and is your content grabbing the audience of youtube? This is a touch industry to get in; either attach yourself to another online video company, or be prepared to add to it yourself.
