That happened to me beforeMy dad told me to get an old kitchen sponge, you make it damp and leave it on top of the bookLeave it for 30 minutes and then you should be able to peel it off without leaving any sticky residue.
Peel as much as you could, with your finger nail, then get a dash vaseline or oil and extremely gently rub some instantaneousthis could help you scrape up any extra adhesive that maintains to be thereAfter that, merely rub with a dry paper towel to soak up any greasy stuff left at the back of.
If it's hard cover then I wouldn't use anything wetJust try to scrape it off with your nailsIf it's a soft cover, than I'd suggest alcoholNail polish remover may remove the color Best of luck, PR
There is a product called Goo Gone that is designed to take adhesive off of almost anythingIf the book has a hard cover, you can dampen a paper towel with the Goo Gone and leave it on for a bitOnce you get the sticker itself off, you can use a paper towel and more chemical to rub the remainder of the adhesive offSometimes it takes several tries, but I use it in my library a lot.
In answer to your question.Yes.I am a Retired Detective who was WTC on 9/11I saw sights on that terrible day I hope I never have to see ever againI assisted in rescuing many people on 9/11Unlike many of my fellow police officers and firefighters; I was one of the lucky ones who made it home alive that dayTo even suggest that 9/11 was anything but the work of an insane Muslim terrorist who is still sworn to murder every American is an insult to the 3,000 Americans who died on that dayI am so tired of those who were 100 + miles away from the WTC on 9/11 cowering under a desk pissing their pants now playing Monday morning quarterback about what they they did not see on 9/11 but want to think Bush may have done.
