Answer:

Erm, you are misunderstanding lightning! lighting is a static discharge that emits light along the path of the discharge. The light that you see travels at the speed of light, but the static discharge along the length of a lightning strike is far slower. Think of shining a torch through a dark room, you only see the beam of the light along it's length when it hits smoke or dust.
Well, a lighting rod really isn't in the same class as a fuse or circuit breaker. A fuse or circuit breaker has the role of stopping excessive current from flowing by breaking the connection. A lightning rod attempts to shunt the high current of lightning to a safe grounding point where it won't do any harm.
i have a sun conure too and i have a similar problem but i have a male i talked to my vet and he said that he is going into his sexual maturity and the terrible twos usually last about 4-5 years :( he told me to go to a quiet room and put the bird on the floor, come back with the person the bird doesnt like and both sit on the floor, you make that person give the bird a treat that he absolutely loves. use this treat for only that purpose. everyone should play with the bird so he knows that its ok everyone is good
In a thunder and lightning storm the lightning doesn't always strike the ground. sometimes it disperses in the clouds. It could be that you captured one of those, and the light you are seeing is the cause of the lightning illuminating the clouds. The reason it may only cover part of the photo could be that that was the edge of where the light had enough energy to reach. Just my thoughts but I am sure it made a cool picture.
