Silfos or silver solder will fill a large gap if you have to. If you can describe in more detail what is loose might be able to help you.
I think if your friend wants to know what she can and cant have, she's going to have to start checking ingrediants, as this is how most allergys work. Also, there are bound to be lots of people with this allergy, and so keep checking for websites or stores and shops with specialised ingrediants catering for that need.
Depends on what food additives she is allergic to. Did she have this allergy confirmed by a board certified allergist? There are thousands of different kids of food additives, so not at all likely she is allergic to all of them.
