Question:

Ill be in NYC this December and recommendations for restaurants and bar/lounges would be awesome!?

Not looking to break the bank but looking for laid back atmosphere.

Answer:

Sure you will do the touristy spots first like Time Square, Ground Zero, Empire State Bldg etc. If you here during the holidays, Rockefeller Center is a big hit as well as the ice skating rink in Central Park. If you like something laid back, the pubs on the east side of Manhattan on 2nd Ave and in the 50s (i.e. Sutton Place) is a good place to start. As for lounges, try any of the W Hotels in the City. There is one on 47th Street near Time Square. As for dance clubs, try one of the larger ones in NYC such as Crobar. Personally, I like the bars/lounges in the East Village/Alphabet City neighborhood. As for food, if you are in NYC, try some of the famous steakhouses (i.e. Peter Lugers). Seafood, try Blue Water Grill in Union Square which is also a fun area.
There are soo many super places. seem into Dos Caminos, Asia de Cuba Sushi Samba One (a million little west twelfth) Mama Mexico (2 places) UVA - 1486 2d Ave. Supper - 156 E. 2d Ave There are extremely some places in Little Italy as besides
idk or i would tell you
I actually love Heartleand Brewery. Its my favorite place in the city. Mustang Harry's on 7th is good, and for a burger I love The Little Bistro on 4th and 4th in the village (By far the best burger in New York). I also like the copper door on 3rd and 21st ish, and the Blarney Stone on 3rd and 45th.Mora or Rod are 2 of my favorite bartenders in the city. As far as some of the famous places, Peter Lugars and Sparks are overrated, still good, but not as good as others.Ben and Jacks on East 44th between 2nd and 3rd is one of the best, as a matter of fact, the guys that own and operate it are former Peter Lugar employees and did it better. The Capitol Grill on 42nd is pretty good too.
