I have terrible anxiety I'm sorry if I sound dumb. Today I left a safety pin at a friends house. I lost it. I think It may have been open. It was in my pocket which had a hole in it, so I picked it up meant to hook it on to my shorts. Then somebody called for my help I got distracted. It's not in my clothes anywhere. I just warned my friend they can't find it. What if it's in their bed gonna kill them in their sleep. Or their pet gets hurt. Or they step on it. Oh my god on a terrible person please help me feel better

The number one thing that breaks an egg is a sudden change in momentum- when an egg hits the ground with no protection, it stops moving instantly. Think about what you can do to make sure that the egg's stop is slowed down as much as possible. Another thing you will want to take into consideration is this: What position will your container need to be in when it lands? If it tips sideways, will the egg be brought into direct contact with the ground? If this is the case, you need to design your project with a way of ensuring that it hits the ground in the right position.
Security organisations won't stop an asteroid. Space agencies may be able to but not the USA - who at the moment does not have any space vehicles. As has been mentioned trying to blow up said asteroid could back fire because the asteroid would be split into many still sizable chunks which could cause more damage over a wider area. However a properly aimed nuke may be able to nudge the asteroid out of the way so that it avoids the Earth
Try the following: Bend the wire coat hanger into a framework/outline shape of a large cube or rectangular prism as large as the limits and supplies will allow. Using the paper cups or TP tubes, form a harness that will securely hold the egg. You might want to have some sort of strap (attached with tape) over the top to hold the egg in.
