Question:

improvised leaf electroscope?

i need to make an improvised leaf electroscope for our experiment but i have no idea where can i get a gold leafwhat can i substitute for it?

Answer:

Try aluminum foil (thinner the better).
At our 1 year anniversary we just let the cake thaw out over night, the night before, being fruit and heavily laden with alcohol it was just the same as it was on our wedding day.
Just take it out of the foil and put it on a plate, or something, and let it defrost in room temperatureThats what i did to mine.
Must be a slice of your wedding cakeCongratsJust let it thaw at room tempIf you can take off the foil now and put it on a plate to thawMine was still good a year later.
I let mine thaw in the fridge for two days, then the rest of the way at room tempIt actually was pretty good (not I'm not lieing)the joke between my husband and I was it must have been the extra 1 month and 11 days it was in the freezer (my husband was in Iraq on his 3rd deployment on our actually anniversaryHe came home 1 year 1 month and 11 days after we were married on 1/1/2007, kinda creepy)At any rate, have fun!
