in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 they sing a song 'hoist the coloures' i really don't know y they sing it do u?
because they are all pirates and that was a pirates song because when they say hoist the colurs it means raise the jolly roger and that no matter what they do they cant stop the pirates
for a show of unity, I thought. and it made the EITC nervous. I would have sung something that made my executioners nervous, too!
its a pirate thing it means raise the flags. when they are saying it all of the skull and cross bones go up.
In the film, Hoist the Colours is known among the pirates of the world and refers to what occurred at the first meeting of the Brethren Court. The song spreads the message throughout the Pirate world that a meeting for the Brethren of the Coast must be called. That is why when they start singing they tell Lord Beckett that they are singing and he begins to hear and smiles, because he knows it signifies the gathering of the Brethren Court.
This song is about how they bound Calypso into human form and it is the call for the Brethren Court to meet at Shipwreck Cove. If you listen to the boy singing the beginning verse you can hear the symbolism: The King and his men (The pirate king and the other pirate lords) Stole the queen from her bed (the capturing of Calypso) And bound her in her bones (binding her to a human form) The seas be ours (The sea now belonging to the pirates and not being controlled by the pirates) And fight the powers (Fighting the East India Trading Company and other threats) Where we will we'll roam (The pirates taking over the sea and now not being controlled)
