Question:

In &To Kill A Mocking Bird,& why does Jem spill his secrets to Atticus after the fire?

In Chapter 8, Scout is found in a blanket. What does Atticus think happened and why does he grin? Why is Jem so frantic? I don't understand this.

Answer:

if they are short spikes they are to keep the birds away from the house.(3 in long) sounds cruel but bird poop will rot a hole in the house if they are long spikes it sounds like a old lightening rod
Current practice in N.Z. is one every 5m. That would be 2 in a hallway, 1 in a lounge, 1 in a garage and so on. Battery replacement normally costs around $7.00 for one detector when the whole thing is $10.00. Replace with new. You cannot go wrong with extra, especially around bedrooms and just outside kitchen areas. Try this for an experiment; blindfold a family member, ( the smoke makes using your eyes impossible ), and see how long it takes for them to get out. Can they get out? Are the door keys to hand? If it takes more than 2 minutes they're in real trouble - asphyxiation. Have more than one escape route planned in advance. GL
No chance of me answering all of those. I was just posting to let you know how weird it was of you to ask why black people kill eachother and then immediately ask why are people racist.
